1. Use i before e, except after c, or when pronounced as "a" as in "neighbor" and "weigh."

2. Drop the final e before a suffix beginning with a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) but not before a suffix beginning with a consonant.

3. Change a final y to i before a suffix (ending), unless the suffix begins with i.

4. If the root is not a complete word, add -ible.If the root is a complete word, add -able.
